Building an inclusive society for all
Addressing structural and systemic inequalities is essential to building a just, inclusive and equitable society for all. Removing barriers and ensuring equal access to opportunities helps people from all cultural backgrounds thrive. There are many equity-deserving and equity-serving organizations uplifting Black, Indigenous and People of Colour in our community. Their programs and services address the impacts of colonization, provide anti-racism training, facilitate community learning initiatives, deliver Indigenous youth services and more.
Support Racial Equity
There are a number of ways you can support racial equity in our community, including:
- Donate to the Racial Equity Community Action Fund to pool your funds with other donors’ gifts. The funds are then granted strategically to many organizations within the cause area through the Community Grants Program and other equitable granting initiatives.
- Donate to the Indigenous Priorities Fund to support social, cultural and legal infrastructure for Indigenous communities in the capital region.
- Set up a Donor Advised Fund to support a cause of your choice.
- Support a Hosted Organization Fund.
