$574,390 granted to 16 collaborative projects addressing complex challenges
After over a decade of providing collaboration grant funding, the Victoria Foundation is exploring new ways of supporting the critically important and complex work of collaborative practice in the community. As a refreshed grant program was developed, the Foundation designed an interim process and invited current Collaboration Grant recipients to reapply for additional funding for their continuing work.
$574,390 supported 16 non-profit and charitable collaborations in the capital region in 2025 through the Community Grants Program Collaboration Stream. This funding is helping meet the growing need for resources in the philanthropic sector. It is also supporting organizations working together to address solutions to the complex challenges facing our region.
Grant recipients were chosen with an emphasis on an equitable distribution across the region’s geography and equity-deserving populations, while prioritizing organizations working on key Vital Signs issue areas.

2025 Collaboration Stream Grant Recipients
The purpose of the Collaboration Grant Stream is to strengthen the non-profit sector’s collaboration muscles. The program prioritizes collaboratives of 3 or more organizations that are based and operating within the capital region, are led by or serve equity-deserving groups and demonstrate strong financial need. It funds collaborative projects, initiatives and ‘backbone’ operations for groups that are working across a range of cause areas. This includes the environment, racial equity, food security, housing, health, homelessness, gender equality, the arts, sports and recreation and more!
