When she was 29 weeks pregnant with her second child, an ultrasound confirmed Sheri Shanahan’s worst fears and her tiny baby girl had to be delivered by emergency C-section. “Everything happened so fast and they needed to take Jesse to the NICU at Victoria General,” Sheri Shanahan recounts in a video for the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island.
